As the weather warms watch the moisture content of soil – especially pots. Watch for thrips and aphids

Time for dividing. Do not let divisions dry out completely. Give them a seaweed tonic to help them recover. It is better not to fertilise divisions for 6 weeks.

Continue or start dividing if you haven’t already done so. Divide every one to two years.
December Jobs
Check moisture. Keep a look out for pests and diseases. Mulch gerberas grown in the garden but keep it away from the crown.

HAPPY NEW YEAR. Hot months require attention to water, shade and mulch.
